Public, Private and Hybrid Cloud Computing

It is anything that involves provision of hosted services over the internet and it divided into three main categories i.e. Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service ( PaaS), and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS).

Cloud Computing enables computers to use computer resources as a utility just like electricity and therefore avoid initial costs of building in-house infrastructure.

Companies can scale up and then scale down again as per demand – the credit for this elasticity goes to cloud computing. This way cloud computing has reduced the cost which is a major area to be performed controlled over. Private Cloud refers to delivery of services from a business data centre to internal users who may or may not be billed for services through IT chargeback.

In public cloud model, third parties provide cloud services over internet. Amazon’s ‘Amazon Web Services’ AWS, Microsoft’s Azure, IBM’s Soft Layer and Google’s ‘Google Compute Engine’ are few examples of public model.

Hybrid Cloud Model is combination of both – private and the Public—and create unified automated and scalable environment which accrues all advantages of Public Model yet retains control over mission-critical data.

Cloud Computing has become so prevalent that it follows us everywhere! Logico  Management has decided to extend its services to cloud computing taking into account the needs of its clients.
